A Few pictures of my trip to Galilee. Loved every moment there, beautiful place and so rich in history of the Life of Christ my Savior! We started off the trip going to Caesarea.
Below is a picture of ancient Caesarea, this harbor was built by Herod the Great on the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. It is also where according to tradition the death of Herod Agrippa took place (Acts 12)
The picture on the right above is an area in Herod's palace where Paul stood and testified when he was tried and imprisoned here by Herod (Acts 23:35).
In this picture, you are looking at a portion of the world's greatest battle field. This is from Tel Megiddo and it's where the battle of Armageddon will occur.Who's side will you be on? If you stand with Christ you will be victorious.
We also visited Antipatris, and the road you see leading up to the fort is the original Roman road Paul would have walked on as a prisoner. He came into Antpatris on the way being taken to Caesarea for trial (Acts 23:31).
Here is Mt. Carmel where Elijah contended with the prophets of Baal. It was amazing to be sitting and over looking the area while reading the passages in Scripture.
What an awesome sight that would be to see our God prove Himself in such a great way to those people.
This is an over look of The Sea of Galilee, looking over at Tabga, Magdalla and surrounding cities where Jesus spent much time ministering, where He called His disciples, where He walked on water and calmed the raging storm.
I am standing in Capurmaum, the home base of Jesus earthly ministry! This was one of my favorites sites of the whole trip.
This is ruins of the synagogue in Capernaum where Jesus taught and healed people. He gave His "I am Bread of Life" sermon here (John 6:35-59)
This is the home of Peter's mother-in-law where and it is where Jesus healed her. It was also used as a meeting place for the early church believers in Capernaum.
